necromancer | can the SourceGithub plugin for Mantis read private git repositories? | 13:20 |
---|---|---|
necromancer | s/git/github | 13:20 |
necromancer | actually, let me just explain what i'm looking to do: at my office we use a combo of GitHub for repo storage, Mantis for bug reporting, Jenkins for continuous integration (activated on a push to the git repo origin/master), and Airbrake for error catching on the live servers. i want to be able to track commits which fix a particular issue and tag them similar to GH issues (mentioning #666 in a com | 13:26 |
necromancer | mit would make a link to the commit summary on GitHub show up on the bug page on Mantis). | 13:26 |
necromancer | it would be really cool if something existed that integrated all of these services together, so if the build breaks under Jenkins and someone makes a commit with "#666" somewhere in the message that fixes the build, it will use that commit to close the bug in Mantis | 13:27 |

necromancer | additionally, perhaps Airbrake could contribute unassigned issues to Mantis when it notices errors on the live server | 13:27 |
Paul_46 | airbrake? | 13:28 |
necromancer | Paul_46: you got in on the tail end of an issue i'm describing, but airbrake.io is a web app that catches errors in your app and emails you about it | 13:30 |
Paul_46 | ahh | 13:31 |
necromancer | Paul_46: i basically want something that will auto-report issues in Mantis and watch git commits to auto-close issues in Mantis after the build returns to normal | 13:31 |
Paul_46 | ahh | 13:31 |

StuartT | Hi there, I have a mantis database that was created using mantis version 1.0.1 (with mySql 4.1.16) I want the database to be able to be used in mantis 1.2.8. To do this I would need to be able to "upgrade"? the database using the update mechanism in mantis. Can I do this by importing my existing db (1.0.1) into the new environment (mySQL 5.1.56) and then call the upgrade script? | 22:48 |

StuartT | Thanks jreese; much appreciated, downloading virtual appliance to confirm | 23:36 |
